The Minister of Defense of Yemen, Mohsen al Daari, and the Chief of Staff, Sagheer bin Aziz, survived an attack launched today by Shia Houthi fighters with a drone, which targeted their convoy in the Al Kadha area, south of the city of Taiz, in southwestern Yemen. This was reported by the Saudi newspaper "Okaz".
Military sources said the attack left one soldier dead and three others injured, according to preliminary information. The attack on the defense minister's convoy coincided with another Houthis aerial bombardment, which targeted government force positions west of Taiz city, and the temporary headquarters of the Taiz governorate in the city centre, as well as to the bombing of residential districts.
