The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso attended the ceremony for the laying of the foundation stone of the power plant Mingachevir in which Ansaldo Energia will build four gas turbines of 320 MW each for an amount of 160 million euros, the first of a series of projects that will involve Italian companies in the sector. “A great example of partnership, a sign of trust in the important Genoa-based company unanimously recognized at an international level. This paves the way for a stronger and more significant industrial and commercial partnership, which strengthens and amplifies the already important energy cooperation. Italy and Azerbaijan can become an example, a model in the partnership between European companies and a people that increasingly looks to our Europe”, Urso said.
Renewable technology, identical supply, electricity network, railways and transport, agricultural and agri-food industry, machine tools and aeronautical industry, different sectors identified in the meetings with President Aliyev and the Ministers of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov and of 'economy, Mikail Jabbarov, which will also be the subject of the joint bilateral commission between the two countries which will soon take place in Baku.
