The "Tomas tank", purchased with the contribution of private donors from the Czech Republic, has already been deployed in Ukraine. This was announced by one of the promoters of the "A gift for Putin" campaign, Martin Ondracek, speaking to the "Ctk" news agency.

“We know Tomas has been dispatched. We know that he reached Poland and we know a person who knows when and where he was deployed in Ukraine,” Ondracek said, adding that the details are known to a small circle. "A gift for Putin", a campaign launched last May on the initiative of the Czech businessman Dalibor Dedek, promotes the collection of funds to help Kiev push back the forces of the Russian Federation. With the approval of the Prague Defense Ministry, "A Gift for Putin" used the resources raised to purchase military equipment in line with the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces.

“After the Tomas tank ammunition was bought, people donated over one million crowns (about 42 euros) every day and new orders for ammunition were signed daily,” Ondracek continued. The campaign helped, among other things, organize the conversion of two armored vehicles to be used for the evacuation of seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers. "A gift for Putin" also promotes projects for post-war reconstruction and more. On the occasion of the first anniversary of the invasion, which falls on February 24, the campaign includes a procession and a concert in Prague.
