The Norwegian company Statkraft has obtained favorable environmental impact statements for three photovoltaic projects in Spain with a total installed capacity of 613 megawatts (MW). According to a press release, the three projects - the construction of which should begin in 2024 - will be able to generate enough energy to power 320 homes and will involve investments of over 350 million euros. The Somozas Solar and Maragato Solar Uno plants will be located in the municipalities of Santiago Millas and Valderrey, in Castile and Leon, and will have a capacity of 181,3 MW each (362,7 MW total), sufficient to satisfy the annual consumption of 205 families. The Fausita Solar project, the company's first in the Murcia region, will be located in the municipalities of Murcia and Torre Pacheco and will have an installed capacity of 250 MW, capable of supplying energy to over 120 homes.
