The victory of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) in the general elections on 23 July "is possible". The president of the government, Pedro Sanchez, said this during his speech to the federal committee, inviting his formation to present "unity, courageous and strong" at the appointment with the polls. The chief executive then welcomed Sumar's agreement with Unidas Podemos (Up) in the elections so that "progress prevails over regression". For Sanchez, in fact, the great advance of the center-right in the regional and municipal elections of 28 May is due to the "strong dispersion" of the vote of the parties to the left of the PSOE." Responsibility is the condition for leaving sterile noise behind and focusing on what really matters to citizens, explained the socialist leader.
However, Sanchez stressed that this agreement must not make us lose sight of the fact that the "great responsibility for what will happen on July 23 lies with the socialists". “It is clear that the only unreal and phantasmagorical thing is the economic alternative of the People's Party. It is as unreal as it is non-existent. It is defined not by what it does, but by what it undoes: repeal, cancel, cut, dismantle, destroy everything that has been achieved in the last five years, and these are the facts,” the premier added. Sanchez attacked the PP's economic model, stating that it is the only party that continues to cling "to the old neoliberal dogma" and for this reason "they don't want to talk about the economy" because, according to him, "they don't know what to say". “All they can think about is blabbering old recipes. We have a plan and they have nothing. We have Nadia (Calvino, minister of the economy) and they have nobody,” Sanchez highlighted.
