Too often the regions have not been able to spend the funds, Veneto has instead always been a virtuous region compared to others. The Prime Minister said it, Giorgia Meloni, to the Verona Fair, on the occasion of the signing of the Agreement for development and cohesion with the president of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia. “We thought about reviewing the cohesion funds to make them fully spendable,” he explained. “Veneto is the third region” with which the agreement is signed and “which concentrates resources on structural, important interventions, few in the sense of not squandering resources in a thousand streams”, he explained.
“To these cohesion funds we add other resources that come from other budget items. In the end the resources are a total of 678 million euros also thanks to everything we manage to mobilize” she added. “The priorities we work on are infrastructure, environmental prevention, work, law, study, sport, health, culture and decorum,” she explained. “Veneto represents a locomotive for Italy,” said the prime minister.
“I endorse Giulia's memory but also the responsibility that we all have in the face of the phenomenon that continues to be intolerable, which needs to be fought at 360 degrees” he said again. “I am proud to have seen the law against violence against women approved unanimously. There are matters on which the basis of discussion and sharing can make a difference,” she added. “We will not stop until something incompatible with our present stops,” underlined Meloni.
