Today Italy celebrates the centenary of the Air Force: on 28 March 1923 a fascinating all-Italian story began, characterized by love for the country, courage, professionalism and generosity that has brought, and continues to bring, our Tricolor to the world. The Prime Minister declares it Giorgia Meloni who adds: "The government expresses its gratitude towards the men and women of the Air Force who daily make our skies safe, operate in international peace and stability missions, are engaged in helping populations affected by disasters natural resources and in urgent medical transport, especially for children".
“A moved thought goes to all those who – continues the premier -, wearing the uniform of the Arma Azzurra, have fallen in the line of duty in military operations, humanitarian missions or exercises. With affection and pride, the whole national community today gathers around the Air Force, Italy's excellence for a hundred years. Long live the Air Force!” Meloni concludes.
