Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani also joined in the condolences. “Gianni Minà was an innovative journalist,” he wrote on Twitter. “Sport, politics, culture, what he said he did with passion, his documentaries and his interviews have marked the history of journalism. With his passing, he leaves us a great legacy. Rest in peace,” he added.
The news of Minà's death arrived yesterday evening, from the journalist's Facebook profile: “Gianni Minà left us after a brief heart disease. He was never left alone, and was surrounded by the love of his family and his closest friends. A special thanks goes to Professor Fioranelli and the staff of the Villa del Rosario clinic who gave us the freedom to say goodbye with serenity".
