A suicide bomber blew himself up today outside a police station in Indonesia, killing at least one person and injuring several. This was reported by the spokesman of the Indonesian National Police, Ahmad Ramadhan. The attack took place in Bandung, capital of the Indonesian province of West Java. According to the spokesman, the bomber entered the barracks armed with a knife and an explosive device around 8:20 this morning (local time), triggering the explosion almost immediately. Images of the scene of the attack broadcast by "Metro TV" show rubble and smoke at the scene of the accident.
The dynamics of the attack are being investigated, but the most accredited track at the moment is that of Islamic radicalism, which in recent years has been responsible for attacks against churches, police stations and meeting places for foreign citizens in that country Muslim majority.
