The world cannot accept a peace in Ukraine that is "the peace of those who surrender, the peace of the strongest" and thus make the country "a second Belarus". This was stated by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU, Josep Borrellat the Shangri-La Dialogue Defense Summit in Singapore. Borrell thus indirectly rejected the proposal made by Indonesia's defense minister, Prabowo Subianto, to end the war in Ukraine.
"The war will end, but the question is not ending the war, it is how we end it," he continued the EU High Representative. "This is why we continue to support Ukraine, even though we want peace more than anyone else in this room," Borrell said in his address.
