Ukraine is sincerely grateful to the US House of Representatives and the entire American people for all the support. The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, wrote this on X (formerly Twitter) after the meeting with the speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy. “To win we must all stay united and work together,” he added. Zelensky said: “We have achieved much together to safeguard democracy, freedom and dignity, values shared by both our nations. The Ukrainian people have suffered immensely due to Russian war crimes, but we have liberated more than half of the territory occupied by the Russian invaders and we can clearly see that victory is approaching."
The Ukrainian head of state discussed with representatives of the US House "the situation on the battlefield and priority defense needs, including air defense". During the conversation, Zelensky stressed that “a Ukrainian victory will guarantee that neither Russia nor any other dictatorship will destabilize the free world again.”
