According to indicators on the water situation in Tunisia, on October 6, water reserves in dams recorded a decline of 25,5 percent to 586,493 million cubic meters, compared to a reserve rate estimated at 787,925 million cubic meters in the same period. period over the last three years. This was reported by the National Agricultural Observatory. The distribution of these reserves among the main Tunisian dams shows that the largest quantity of water recorded is that of Sidi Salem, in the province of Beja, with 172,856 million cubic meters and a filling rate of 30 percent, followed by the dams of Sajanan in Bizerte with 53,077 million cubic meters, equal to 40 percent of its capacity. This is followed by Sidi Saad in Kairouan with 32,460 million cubic meters, equal to 24 percent of its capacity, and Bouhartama in Jendouba with 21,373 million cubic meters, equal to 19 percent of its capacity.
