- United Arab Emirates have joined the global initiative Edison Alliance, to promote inclusion and access to digital technology. This was reported by the Emirati news agency "Wam". In addition to the Emirates, Honduras and Togo are also part of the initiative, while Bahrain, Bangladesh and Rwanda promoted it. These countries, in fact, within the global initiative, are intensifying efforts to promote digital inclusion by 2025, through the provision of electronic devices and training programs, especially in priority sectors, such as communications, healthcare, education and finance. The initiative managed to reach half of its goal, improving access to digital resources for one billion people, thanks to more than 200 initiatives in 90 countries. the goal, instead, is to make the digital resources of 2,6 billion people accessible and allow them to access basic services such as education, healthcare and finance.
