The president of Türkiye said, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his first speech after taking office for the third time at the head of the Republic. During a ceremony at the presidential compound in Ankara, Erdogan said: "We promise to work with all our strength to protect the glory and honor of the Republic of Turkey, to promote its reputation and to glorify its name in the world for 5 years". “We are determined to put Gazi Mustafa Kemal's 'peace at home, peace in the world' principle into practice. We will do this by expanding the sphere of influence of humanitarian diplomacy”, added Erdogan, now in his third presidential term after the elections of 28 May.
