The armed forces of the South Korea they will participate for the first time in the largest combined cyber defense exercise in the world, led by NATO. According to the Seoul Cyber ​​Operations Command, an eleven-member team will participate from today as a partner country in Cyber ​​Coalition 2023, which will be held in Estonia until Friday, after attending last year's event as an observer. Launched in 2008, the annual exercise aims to strengthen the alliance's ability to deter, address and counter threats in cyberspace, as participating nations seek to strengthen cooperation in technology and information sharing.
This year's exercises will focus on sharing threat intelligence and deducing the most effective response in a cyber attack scenario on virtual national infrastructures. The South Korean team will undertake a tactical defensive operation that includes the detection and analysis of a cyber attack, as well as subsequent recovery. After joining NATO Cooperative Cyber ​​Defense Center of Excellence Last May, Seoul explored several avenues for enhancing cooperation with the military alliance.
