The Russian president Vladimir Putin yesterday visited the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia because these countries are not satisfied with the cooperation with Moscow within the framework of OPEC+. This is what the newspaper “The Moscow Times” stated. In particular, Saudi Arabia is dissatisfied with Russia's lack of transparency regarding national oil export data.
“The OPEC+ partners of Russia they have no idea how much oil Russia is actually producing, although it is the manipulation of the number of barrels that is the group's main tool in its efforts to stabilize the oil market,” the newspaper said. According to “The Moscow Times”, the producing countries of the Arabian Peninsula “have accumulated enormous negative experience in communicating with Russian officials, who have repeatedly broken promises to cooperate in efforts to keep oil prices at an optimal level for producers and consumers".
