Russia, the Ministry of Finance: revenues from oil and gas decreased by 22,8 percent in 2023

The decrease in prices and volumes of natural gas exported weighs heavily

Revenue from oil and gas in the Russian federal budget from January to November fell by 22,8 percent year-on-year and reached 8.226 billion rubles (€ 82,4 billion). This was made known on Ministry of Finance of Moscow. The decrease in prices and volumes of natural gas exported weighs heavily.

The ministry also reported that non-oil and gas revenues increased by 25,6 percent compared to 2022 and amounted to 17.737 billion rubles. (€ 177,7 billion). According to preliminary estimates, federal budget revenue from January to November 2023 amounted to 25.963 billion rubles (€ 260,1 billion), a figure 4,8 percent higher than last year.
