An 18-year-old was wounded in the legs by gunfire in Ponticelli, a neighborhood on the eastern outskirts of Naples. The boy was transferred to the Villa Betania hospital where the station police arrived. According to a reconstruction yet to be verified, unknown persons fired several shots at the young man.
The events apparently took place in via Luigi Franciosa, an area under the criminal influence of the Casella clan: here the police found some shell casings. The 18-year-old - who has links with members of the Casaella gang - is still under observation, with no life-threatening danger.
The young man, Daniele Frassanito, is no stranger to the news: he was already arrested last March by the carabinieri together with a 15-year-old, related to top Casella figures, for possession of a replica pistol without a safety cap and a mask that resembles the one seen in the late 90s slasher “Scream”.
