Minister Crosetto: "Italy will continue to support the populations of Turkey and Syria"

Italy “continues and will continue to help the populations hard hit by the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria. The Defense, in coordination with the Civil Protection, is providing its contribution with resources and personnel. We are and will be close in a concrete way to the nations and peoples affected by the terrible earthquake". Thus the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto in a note. Today at 15:30, the second C130 flight of the Air Force departed from Pisa airport with medicines and medical supplies on board bound for the Incirlik air base, in Turkey. Yesterday the Defense had already sent a P180 aircraft with an advanced rate of specialized personnel from the Civil Protection. During the night, however, aid and equipment arrived with the first C130, including medical personnel. Furthermore, a naval unit of the Navy has also been made available for immediate use by the ministry.
