The Spanish dealership Acs has acquired ownership of the US highway SH-288, which surrounds the Texan city of Houston, after completing the purchase of the remaining 21,6 percent of the capital from Blueridge Transportation Group (Btg) for approximately 384 million euros.
As reported by the newspaper "Cinco Dias", the SH-288 is part of an agreement between Acs and Mundys, the main shareholder of Abertis, according to which both balance their powers in the Catalan dealership. The group led by Florentino Perez has committed to selling 56 percent of the capital of this important Houston artery. The SH-288 will thus become Abertis' flagship in the United States, where it entered in 2021 with the acquisition of Elizabeth River Crossings, in Virginia.
