Over 45 sacks containing human remains were found in a ravine in the State of Jalisco, in western Mexico, in the context of the search for seven young people who disappeared last week. The state prosecutor's office reported it in a note sent to the media. "Forty-five bags with human remains belonging to both males and other females were extracted," the document reads, which specifies that the remains all belong to people around 30 years old.
The macabre discovery was made at the bottom of a 40-meter ravine in the municipality of Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara, known for being a large industrial hub, and occurred while searching for traces of seven people - two women and five men – disappeared since last May 20th. The disappearance of each of them, the authorities said, had been reported at different times but during the investigation it was discovered that all seven victims worked in the same call center, located near the area where the bags. The 40-metre ravine is located in the municipality of Zapopan, a suburb of Guadalajara known for being a large industrial hub.
Experts are now working to determine the number of people who were dissected in the bags and to trace their identities.
